This investigation scrutinizes the efficacy of gamification in augmenting Fiqh comprehension among third-grade pupils at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 2 Enrekang, concentrating particularly on the practices of Ramadan fasting and worship. Employing a mixed-methods research design, the study incorporated Fiqh Quest, a gamified board game, into the educational framework. The quantitative evaluation, predicated on pre-test and post-test metrics of 30 students, indicated a noteworthy enhancement in the average score from 58.18 to 74.76, with 90% of participants evidencing quantifiable knowledge advancements. Qualitative observations suggested a rise in motivation, enhanced collaboration among peers, and improved retention of Fiqh concepts, facilitated by gamified components such as points, badges, and leaderboards. The role of teacher facilitation was pivotal in synchronizing gamified activities with educational objectives. While the results underscore gamification’s capacity to metamorphose passive learning into active engagement, constraints include a limited sample size and a brief intervention duration, which may influence the generalizability of the findings. Subsequent research should investigate the scalability of gamification across varied educational contexts and evaluate its enduring effects on religious education. This study furnishes empirical data endorsing gamification as an efficacious pedagogical instrument in Islamic education, providing valuable insights for curriculum developers and educators aiming to elevate student understanding and engagement through interactive learning methodologies.
Ismail Ismail, Rahmat Rahmat, Tini Tini (Author) ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/8867 Mon, 08 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Connection Leadership Head School, Teacher Discipline, and Teacher Responsibility for Teacher Performance https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/9221
The study aims to see the influence of Principal Leadership, Teacher Discipline, and Teacher Responsibility on teacher performance. The researcher used an ex post facto, quantitative approach. The study was conducted in June 2025 during the 2025 academic year. The population was all elementary school teachers in East Halangonan District, North Padang Lawas Regency, totaling 335 people from 31 elementary schools. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The validity test used construct validity and content validity. Validity testing involved expert opinions (judgment experts). The reliability test used Cronbach's alpha. The instrument is considered reliable if its Cronbach's alpha is greater than 0.6. The data analysis used to test the hypothesis in this study was multiple regression analysis. The hypothesis criteria were accepted if the significance was less than 0.05. The results of the study indicate that: 1) there is an influence of principal leadership on the performance of public elementary school teachers, with a t-value of 2.063 with a significance level of 0.041; because the significance value is smaller than 0.05 (0.041<0.05), and the regression coefficient has a positive value of 0.126. 2) There is an influence of Discipline on the performance of public elementary school teachers with a t-value of 8.238 with a significance level of 0.000, because the significance value is smaller than 0.05 (0.000<0.05), and the regression coefficient has a positive value of 0.396. 3) There is an influence of Teacher Responsibility on teacher performance with a t-value of 4.034 with a significance level of 0.000, because the significance value is smaller than 0.05 (0.000<0.05), and the regression coefficient has a positive value of 0.188. 4) The test results obtained a calculated F value of 102.345 with a significance of 0.000.
Rendi Kurnia Pratama, Ni Luh Hita Ekayanti Pujarisma, Muhammad Imanul Haq (Author) ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/9210 Sun, 01 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Local Wisdom–Based Sustainability Communication Among Balinese Farmers: Traditions, Rituals, and Sustainable Agriculture https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/9220
Sustainable agriculture in Bali emerges from a harmonious integration of cultural values, spirituality, and local wisdom inherited across generations. Yet, increasing pressures from climate change and the demand for higher agricultural productivity raise a crucial question: how can these traditional values be integrated with global sustainability principles that emphasize resource efficiency, environmental stewardship, and food security? This becomes particularly relevant as key elements of sustainable agriculture such as soil and water conservation, responsible input use, crop diversification, and ecosystem preservation must be interpreted within Bali’s culturally embedded agricultural system. This study aims to describe sustainable agricultural practices in Subak Karangasem, Noongan Village, Karangasem Regency, by examining the role of traditional values and the Tumpek Uduh ritual in maintaining ecological, social, and spiritual balance. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in depth interviews, field observations, and visual documentation involving three key informants. The findings show that despite a commodity shift from rice to horticultural crops such as chili and tomatoes, farmers in Subak Karangasem continue to uphold the principles of Tri Hita Karana as the philosophical foundation of their agricultural activities. The Tumpek Uduh ritual serves as a symbolic reinforcement of gratitude and respect for nature, reflecting the belief that plants and the environment are integral components of the ecological system that must be protected. Furthermore, the subak system functions not only as a water management institution but also as a sociocultural structure that strengthens community participation and mutual cooperation.
Pratiwi Samad, Sahril Nur (Author) ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/9226 Sun, 01 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Integration of Digital Literacy and Critical Thinking Culture in 21st Century Curriculum Design: A Conceptual Article in the EFL Environment https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/9227
Leadership practices are implemented by instilling the values of amanah (trustworthiness), honesty, justice, deliberation (musyawarah), and exemplary conduct in daily school life. These values are manifested through the habituation of religious activities, moral development programs, teacher involvement in decision-making processes, and the discipline and sense of responsibility demonstrated by the principal. Leadership that emphasizes guidance and a persuasive approach fosters harmonious working relationships between the principal and teachers and creates a religious and conducive school environment. The application of Islamic values in leadership is reflected in teachers’ performance, which shows improvements in discipline, responsibility, teaching preparedness, sincerity, and active participation in school activities. Teachers perceive their teaching duties as an amanah and a form of worship, motivating them to carry out their responsibilities with awareness and professional commitment. A work environment grounded in justice, openness, and exemplary leadership encourages teachers to work not due to pressure, but because of intrinsic motivation. The implementation of Islamic values–based leadership is supported by structured religious activities, the principal’s role modeling, strong cooperation among school members, and a religious school atmosphere. Challenges remain, particularly differences in levels of awareness, discipline, and teachers’ ability to adapt to the implemented values; however, these obstacles are addressed through continuous guidance and a humanistic approach. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling using PLS-SEM (version 4). The results indicate that WLI has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction but does not have a significant direct effect on teachers’ performance. In contrast, work initiative exerts a positive and significant effect on both job satisfaction and teachers’ performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction is found to have a positive and significant effect on teachers’ performance, fully mediating the relationship between WLI and performance and partially mediating the relationship between work initiative and performance. These findings strengthen Boundary Theory, Proactive Behavior Theory, Herzberg’s Motivation Theory, and Human Capital Theory. From a practical perspective, the study highlights that improving teachers’ performance requires supportive school policies that foster healthy work–life integration and promote a sustainable culture of work initiative.
Fahriansyah Fahriansyah, Romi Siswanto, Kadarisman Kadarisman, Mudayat Mudayat (Author) ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/9250 Fri, 27 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Application of Semiotic Analysis in English Language Learning at Vocational High Schools for Health: A Case Study in a Small Class with 10 Students https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/9200
This article aims to provide insight into the application of semiotic analysis in English language courses at a health vocational school using a case study of 10 students. The research focuses on the use of visual and verbal signs, such as instructional pictures, medical symbols, and English procedural texts, in teaching basic medical procedures, namely blood pressure measurement and IV drip insertion. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through direct observation of learning activities, analysis of teaching materials, and interviews with students to explore their understanding and experiences in interpreting the learning material. The results show that images, symbols, and instructional texts function as effective semiotic signs in helping students understand complex medical procedures. These signs not only facilitate understanding of medical concepts and steps but also connect English learning with professional practice in the health sector. In addition, semiotic-based learning contributes to shaping students' professional identities as future health workers.
Amanda Pratama Putriyani (Author) ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/9200 Sun, 01 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Relevance of K.H. Maimun Zubair’s Concept of Nusantara Islamic Education to the Indonesian Education System https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/9254
This study examines the relevance of K.H. Maimun Zubair’s concept of Nusantara Islamic education to the contemporary Indonesian education system. Nusantara Islam represents an approach to Islamic education that integrates classical Islamic scholarship, local cultural wisdom, and national values. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method based on document analysis and in-depth interviews as secondary support. The findings indicate that K.H. Maimun Zubair’s educational thought is constructed upon three main pillars: mastery of classical Islamic knowledge, integration of nationalism and religious commitment, and emphasis on moral character and exemplary conduct. These principles correspond with current educational priorities in Indonesia, particularly in strengthening character education, promoting religious moderation, and fostering social harmony. The study further reveals that the relevance of this concept lies in its potential contribution to reducing ideological polarization and reinforcing inclusive religious attitudes among students. This research concludes that the educational model developed by K.H. Maimun Zubair offers a contextual and culturally grounded framework that can enrich national education policies and practices in Indonesia.
Ujud Supriaji, Khoiruddin Nasution, A. Although the course is designed to inculcate Islamic and Muhammadiyah values, observed phenomena indicate that many students have not yet fully demonstrated religious attitudes in their campus life. Accordingly, this study aims to evaluate the extent to which the course implementation is effective in fostering students’ religious attitudes and to identify factors influencing the outcomes. The research employed a qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings reveal that the predominance of lecture-based instruction, largely descriptive course content, and the lack of integrated co-curricular activities constitute the main factors limiting students’ application of religious values in their daily lives. In conclusion, strengthening the formation of religious attitudes requires renewed instructional strategies that are more interactive and contextually grounded, as well as the integration of relevant co-curricular activities aligned with Kemuhammadiyahan values.
Jumaydin Jumaydin, Madi Madi, La Jusu (Author) ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/9257 Sun, 01 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Contribution of Agility and Speed to the Playing Performance of Soccer Athletes in Bangkinang City https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/9256
This study aimed to determine the contribution of agility and speed to the soccer playing performance of Bangkinang City athletes. Soccer is a sport that emphasizes physical, technical, tactical, and mental abilities. These components are part of physical condition, which is very important. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The sample in this study consisted of 32 Bangkinang City soccer athletes selected using a total sampling technique. The instruments used were the Illinois Agility Test to measure agility, a 30 meter sprint test to measure speed, and a soccer performance assessment instrument consisting of a soccer skills test and observation using an assessment instrument covering passing, dribbling, ball control, shooting, and off-the-ball movement. Data analysis used correlation and multiple regression tests. The results showed that agility made a significant contribution to playing performance of 0.682, which is included in the strong category. Speed contributed to soccer playing performance by 0.641. Simultaneously, agility and speed contributed to soccer playing performance by 0.641. Thus, it can be concluded that agility and speed are important factors influencing the soccer playing performance of Bangkinang City athletes.
Elfera Rizky, Dedi Ahmadi, Rendy Abrasyi (Author) ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/9256 Sun, 01 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Improving Children’s Moral Character through the Cultural Practice of “TABEA” in Guu Village, Batuatas Subdistrict, South Buton Regency https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/9259
This study examines how tabea a living local cultural practice in the daily life of Guu Village, Batuatas District, South Buton Regency contributes to the formation and improvement of children’s moral character. Tabea functions as an embodied expression of respect, politeness, and social ethics that is continuously transmitted across generations through everyday interaction. The research employed a descriptive qualitative design. Data were collected through direct field observation, in-depth interviews with parents, teachers, community leaders, and children, as well as documentation of community practices and school-related activities. The findings indicate that the consistent enactment of tabea within the family, school, and broader community significantly supports children’s character development, particularly in cultivating courteous speech and behavior, respect for elders, self control in social interaction, and a growing sense of social responsibility. Moreover, tabea strengthens children’s awareness of social norms and reinforces positive role modeling through habituation and community supervision. These results suggest that tabea is not merely a symbolic tradition, but a practical mechanism of character education embedded in local wisdom. Therefore, preserving and revitalizing tabea should be pursued through collaborative strategies involving families, schools, and village institutions, and integrated sustainably into educational patterns to strengthen the moral foundation of the younger generation.
Masriyanto Masriyanto, Abdul Rahim, Muhamad Ridwan (Author) ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://jurnal.unimen.cloud/maspuljr/article/view/9259 Sun, 01 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0000
