Abstract
This study examines the implementation of the principle of tawhid in social media content, particularly on the YouTube and Instagram platforms, and its impact on the interaction and behavior of the younger generation. Using a qualitative approach, this study analyzed various types of content related to Islam, including da'wah videos, lectures, and Instagram posts featuring the values of tawhid. The findings show that while most content adheres to the principle of tawhid, there are significant deviations, especially in the dissemination of inaccurate information and content that is not in line with Islamic teachings. On YouTube, 75% of religious content adheres to the principle of tawhid, but much of it also spreads hoaxes and falsecontent. On Instagram, about 65% of the content is related to the principle of tawhid, but often only shows symbolic visualizations without deep substance. This study also identified digital interactions that are not in accordance with Islamic moral values, such as spreading slander and hate speech. Based on these findings, this study provides recommendations to improve faithbased digital literacy and promote responsible use of social media, by prioritizing the principle of tawhid as a moral foundation in interacting online
